These Terms of Use describe the ground rules for accessing this website and using StaffLedger: Time & Payroll, including its required Firebase sign-in model.

Use of the app

StaffLedger: Time & Payroll is intended to help subcontractors and field managers track attendance, wages, and payroll summaries. You may use the app only in compliance with applicable law and only for work records that you have the right to manage.

Description of the service

StaffLedger: Time & Payroll is an Android workforce attendance and payroll application. Depending on the release, the service may include local device storage, Firebase-backed app services, required user authentication, analytics measurement, and advertising delivered through AdMob.

Your records are your responsibility

You are responsible for reviewing attendance entries, pay rates, notes, deductions, and totals before relying on them for payroll, invoicing, or labor administration. The app helps organize records, but it does not replace your own review process.

No legal, accounting, or tax advice

StaffLedger: Time & Payroll is a productivity tool. It does not provide legal advice, accounting advice, tax advice, labor-law compliance advice, or payroll outsourcing services.

Offline and device limitations

The app is designed to work offline, but performance can still depend on the device, Android version, storage availability, and other system conditions. Some sharing or export actions may require third-party apps or system features outside our control.

User accounts and Firebase

StaffLedger requires users to sign in or create an account through Google Firebase Authentication before using the app. Available sign-in methods may include email and password login and Google Sign-In.

This account model is used so multiple users can use the same device while keeping each user's records separated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity that occurs through your account.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use the app to store or share records in violation of privacy, employment, confidentiality, or intellectual property laws.
  • Do not attempt to misuse, disrupt, reverse engineer, or interfere with the normal operation of the website or app.
  • Do not represent automatically calculated totals as guaranteed error-free without reviewing them yourself.

Third-party services

StaffLedger may use third-party services including Google Firebase, Google Analytics for Firebase, Google AdMob, app stores, mobile carriers, cloud backups, and sharing apps. Those services operate under their own terms, policies, and technical requirements.

By using features that rely on those services, you acknowledge that relevant data may be processed by those providers. You can review Google's policies at the Google Privacy Policy and the Firebase Privacy and Security page.

Advertising and analytics

StaffLedger may include measurement and advertising features, including analytics and ads delivered through AdMob. Ad availability, format, and personalization may vary by device, geography, release, and consent status.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of any analytics, ad-supported, or Firebase-backed feature.

Availability and updates

The website and app may be updated, changed, paused, or removed at any time. Features, copy, branding, and availability may evolve as the product develops.

Disclaimer

Unless separate written terms state otherwise, StaffLedger: Time & Payroll is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators of StaffLedger: Time & Payroll are not liable for losses arising from use of the app or website, including data entry mistakes, payroll errors, missed payments, device issues, outages, or third-party service failures.

Changes to these terms

These Terms of Use may be revised from time to time. Continued use of the website or app after updated terms are published means you accept the revised version.
