StaffLedger
Attendance and Payroll
Privacy Policy
StaffLedger: Time & Payroll is built to help subcontractors manage attendance and payroll records on Android with secure user sign-in and separate workspaces per user. This policy explains what data the app handles and how that information is typically stored.

What the app is for
StaffLedger: Time & Payroll is an attendance and payroll tracking app for subcontractors and field managers. It helps users record worker attendance, pay rates, project assignments, totals, and payroll summaries.
Information you enter
The app may store the information that you or your team add while using it, including worker names, attendance status, pay rates, project names, notes, bonuses, deductions, and generated payroll summaries.
Where data is stored
StaffLedger: Time & Payroll is designed to work offline after sign-in, and the core workflow is intended to keep operational attendance and payroll data on the Android device where the app is used. If you share summaries through other apps such as WhatsApp, those actions are handled by the services you choose to use.
Accounts and Firebase Authentication
StaffLedger requires an initial account login or account creation through Google Firebase Authentication. Users can typically sign in with email and password or with a Google account, depending on the options made available in the app.
Account details such as your email address, authentication identifiers, provider information, and basic sign-in metadata may be processed by Google Firebase so you can access the app and keep your records separate from other users on the same device.
The purpose of this sign-in model is to allow multiple users to share one Android device while keeping each user's attendance, payroll, and project data separated inside the app.
Offline use
Because the app is built for teams that may work with unreliable coverage, many core functions are designed to be available without an internet connection after authentication has been completed. That means attendance and pay data can remain accessible even when the device is offline.
Shared exports
If you export or share payroll summaries, attendance recaps, or related records, the recipients and third-party apps involved in that sharing may process the data according to their own policies. You are responsible for reviewing what you share and who receives it.
Device and app permissions
The app may request limited device permissions when needed for normal features, such as storage access, notifications, network access, or system sharing actions. Those permissions depend on the Android version and the features you use.
Analytics and diagnostics
StaffLedger uses analytics tools, including Google Analytics for Firebase or similar Firebase measurement services, to understand app usage, feature adoption, engagement patterns, and app stability. These services may collect device identifiers, app instance identifiers, session information, approximate location derived from IP address, and technical usage events.
If crash reporting or diagnostic tooling is enabled through Firebase or related Google services, anonymized or pseudonymized technical information about errors, device type, operating system, and app version may also be processed to help improve reliability.
Advertising and AdMob
StaffLedger may display advertising through Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may process data such as advertising identifiers, device information, approximate location, IP-derived signals, and ad interaction information to deliver, measure, and limit advertising.
Depending on the region, app version, and consent settings, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. Google may use cookies or mobile advertising technologies in connection with these advertising services where permitted.
How long data is kept
Operational records generally remain available until they are deleted by the user, removed with the app, or cleared from the device. Shared copies outside the app may persist wherever they were sent or backed up.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for protecting access to the devices that store your payroll data, using screen locks where appropriate, and reviewing local labor and privacy obligations that may apply to worker information in your region.
Third-party services
StaffLedger uses third-party services provided by Google, including Firebase, Google Analytics for Firebase, and AdMob. Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
