# StaffLedger: Time & Payroll

StaffLedger is an Android application designed for subcontractors and field managers to track attendance, wages, and labor costs for their crews.

## What it does

- Tracks daily attendance (present, half-day, absent) for multiple workers
- Manages flexible pay rates (daily, hourly, half-day) per worker
- Calculates automated payroll and labor cost summaries
- Generates cash breakdown assistants for physical payroll (banknote counts)
- Supports multi-project management with separate crews and history
- Works 100% offline once signed in, with local data storage and secure cloud sync
- Features secure multi-user login with separate data workspaces for each user

## Important caveats

- Requires an Android device
- Requires a one-time secure sign-in (email or Google) to initialize the workspace
- Offline mode requires the user to have signed in at least once while online
- Currently focused on field attendance rather than complex back-office accounting integrations
